Allow me to open another theme - and maybe offer a challenge to other members. It seems to me that wherever one points the camera these days there is someone talking or writing a SMS on a mobile/cell phone/GSM. It is quite intriguing to wonder who all these people are talking to do while busy doing something else. I started catching these images as part of my Figures in Urban Landscapers series, but feel that they merit a theme group of their own. I look forward to your contributions.

Hi Per, long time no see ! Yes, it is amazing having all those people attached to their phones all the time, no more freedom !

Great shot,

Hi Per !
Nice shot and nice idea of theme. Thanks to have already put one of mine in it. I added another one.
I like the expression of the girl on the phone in this narrow street, she seems happy and in a hurry, maybe to meet someone she loves.
Good capture.

Nice to see you around again Per, your so right, life can't really go on without a mobile these days. Great capture just right for your theme, I'm sure there will be lots of entries.

Great capture of a daily life scene, Per. It is the same here in Toronto, there is always someone talking on a cell phone wherever I go and I am not certain what they are all talking about that is so important that it cannot wait.

The picture is also really nice with the narrow street turning to the left and giving us a good view of the colourful architecture and as Sylvie mentioned a great expression on the woman's face. Well done!

Oops...just ran out of goodies!!!

Hi Per,
Nice shot. You capture an interesting old looking section of town. But then it is juxtaposed to that woman talking into a modern day device. Well seen.
Take care!

pretty photograph, in a narrow street that we for call side street here.

Lordy, me and you too! I guess I am getting too old and don't understand. I'd rather wrestle a bear than talk on the phone! The shot is great, the light spectacular. You even caught the light coming through the white fabric on the bottom of her pants. Well done! B

Nice shot. I like the contrast between the old buildings, narrow lane and modern technology. Very interesting pictuer, Per.

Good POV, Per, and you captured the lady just at the right moment, with such nice movement. Good idea for a theme. TFS!

hello Per
Très belle ruelle, splendidement rendue.
GSM ... oh !!! un mot inconnu, Oui je vois, le sourire béa de cette petite qui a les doigts dans l'oreille ... et qui sonne partout .
Très belle photo

Wonderful work Per!! I love the casualness of the photo and the way the movement was preserved. We can really get a feeling of the way she was moving and read on her face that the news are good! Great capture.

PS: That idea for a new theme is quite interesting ;-)

Another interesting challenge Per. I'll see what I can do to join in. I like this idea. Good composition with the lady on the phone being in the foreground. I wish there was a little more room under her feet, but perhaps you couldn't step back any more for that. I like the choice of a vertical composition and the inclusion of that lovely old fashion sign. Very nice Per.

What a nice narrow street, Per. At first I thought it was one for the FIUL theme. Interesting new theme (your second I saw this week). I don't mind seeing people using a mobile phone - if not in the car or on a bike, that is, but I do mind all those different loud ring tones. A pity you can't capture sound with a still ;o). TFS.

A sight seen all to often these days, people on cell phones.

Hi Per..Seems everyone has a cell phone glued to their ear these days....no matter where you are you see them...Funny we have reached an era where this seems to be the norm.
I like your composition of the narrow street. The girl on the phone gives the whole feel of this fast paced world by talking and walking fast to some destination....
Good idea for a theme....:O)

And you managed to capture it in a very good compo Per...like the concept and execution.

nice shot, with a good compo and colours.it's true, every where one look theres someone calling or using the cellphone.

Hi Per, very good subject. Great scenery as well. You caught a lovely lady on the phone, the colours are great, the turning street ads too the composition. And good light, warm and soft.

I will be glad to contribute to your theme, I will look in my photos, I caught one doing sports with a phone :)

Very well done.

Cheers, Yan
