It's virtually impossible to find telephone booths
anymore in France, and they're on their way to extinction in Spain. This rare one on a beach in La Gomera looked like it hadn't been used in ages! All but the very very old and very very young (and they're too immobile to walk to a booth) now have handier means of communicating. Interesting that the common term for cell phone in Germany is "Handy"! Perhaps a more fitting advice than that written in this booth would be "Call for HELP"! |
