[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,

What a tough one this was!
I wasn't quite sure what to do here so looked at merging colours on the palette and painted my own rural scene.

This photograph was taken in a little village on the outskirts of Skipton called Carlton. Not quite, but nearly in The Dales. The pathway is the farmer's occupation road into the field bordered, as you can see, by drystone walls. Since these are such a feature of the area, I decided to make them even more obvious!!

Many thanks for your visit.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

pp added layer, added border, erased part of border to make wall proud, changed to b&w, painted walls in colours by shades on colour palette, coloured posts in similar way, used marquee tool to select areas on sky, filled with lightening tones of blue, filled border, added spectrum color at 9% opacity, signed

Hi Beverley,
I like the PP work,
But i think if the whole photo will be in green shades it will be more natural and beatiful,
I like the sky which you have made,
Nicely framed,

Hi Bev,

A truly excellent and very interesting piece of PP work that looks quite surreal. It has a real dream-like quality to it.

However, as much as I like it, I think a more 'natural' version might have worked better - even if it was a tighter crop on, say, mosses and lichens on the dry-stone walls.

A really good shot though. Regards, Paul.

Hi Bev,

Ohoho, what a complicated job you did here, but it really really works out wonderful!

That wall is absolutely fabulous combined with the more natural feel of the landscape in the picture.

Hi BR,

Beautifull land..
Like a painting.
All the best.
Enjoy Life :)

Hi Bev, lovely bright colours in the stonework and the posts and whatever you did with the rest the changing colours blend in well. A quite different interpretation of the theme. TFS,
