[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Cellarium at Fountains Abbey. A little dark for regular photography, unless you have a tripod with you - which I didn't - so hand held and holding breath at 1/60th sec with apperture wide open at f5.6 (I think). I took several images and this one was the best of a mediocre bunch. A little playing around with exposure of the RAW image to give an exposure blend in Photomatix.

Hello Dai

Something out of an old movie I would guess in the appearance of your image. I like the cross at the end of the walkway. A very interesting image

Hi Dai
Fantastic perspective shot, good light and shadow, great composition.

Hi Dai
interesting architecture. fine perspective, well composed. good management of light for excellent sharpness of arches. nice colors. good clarity of details.

Hoi Dai,
Superb light ! resulting in a lot of depth in this photo.
Splendid architecture.

Now you've got my interest rising Dai , i am a fan of this type of composition , love old stone buildings , those walls have eavesdropped on so many a conversation i would say , the windows show a slight tint of yellow evidence of the intensity of the outside lighting while important detail are still refreshingly vivid in the stonework inside , that you have managed wonderfully i confess , the whole has a HDR appearance and i appreciate your using the forefront arch to lead the viewer's eye into the scene to the cross standing in the lit window , certainly a likable presentation ,
My regards,

Olá D

Hello Dai

This old church is intriguing with its repetition of green mossy vaulted arches & empty interior aside from the solitary cross, presumably where the altar once stood. Also strategically positioned near the bright light. Reasonable sharpness & superb perspective & good shadow detail. Tfs!
