The House of Paerlement and Big Ben.
This was my first trip to London. It was realy nice. City is very orderly and it is easy to find your way and where you want to go. There are lots of places have to see. And i try to do that.
I stay 3 days and after today day by day i will try to show the shots i took from London. Hope you will enjoye.

I took this shot from London Eye. The world's tallest observation wheel, 135 m hight, on the banks of the Thames, offering unrivalled views over London.

This 316ft clock-tower was completed between 1858-59.Big Ben is named, probably, after Sir Benjamin Hall, the First Commissioner of Works.

Big Ben was first broadcast on New Year's Eve in 1923. The light above the clock is lit while the Commons is sitting. Big Ben weighs over 13 tons.

The clock mechanism, alone, weights about 5 tons. The figures on the clock face are about 2 feet long, the minute spaces are 1 ft. square; and the copper minute hands are14 ft. Long.

Whitechapel Bell Foundry - Makers of Big Ben and the Liberty Bell. Also hand bells, tower bells, clock bells, carillons, and turret bells.

yenileri neden gelmiyor diye sormadan edemedim:))

You chose a good vantage point to take this shot of the houses of parliament, you've managed to get all the building in and at the same time avoid the dreaded converging verticals. The Use of B&W has worked well on this subject, shame the sky is a little plain.

Nice shot

Andrew
