Hello Everyone,

Today, I am sharing with you a photograph of an old farmhouse which is situated on the edge of a nearby village.

I took the shot (with my casio) when I went on a walk with some friends. I particularly like it because it shows the features typical of an old farmhouse, in Lancashire.
The windows are small, under the whitewash, the walls are thick and built from random stone, it is surrounded by a drystone wall and has a rustic, wooden gate at the entrance.

These farmhouses were built to last; they endured the cold of winter blizzards and were also a retreat from summer's heat. The insides have thermal qualities like a cave - never very cold in winter, never very hot in summer.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Bev
at the start I would see this shot little turn on the right but after looking better I like the perspective here
wonderful farm house and beautiful contrast captured of the white paint walls

Cette maison blanche est mangigique, quel contraste avec le vert, cette belle pelouse, la barrière de bois fait en plus un super graphisme, amngigique.

Hi Bev,
Lovely whitewashed stone built farmhouse, at first glance it looks a little underexposed in the foreground but I think it is the startling white playing with my eyes, great PoV and you have done a superb job on framing and presenting this image.

Hi Bev:)
What a stunning image vith great POV, light and colours.TFS.

Hello Beverley,
Nice shot, superb sharpness and depth of feild,
lovely colors and good clarity.

Hi Beverly,
Beautiful architecture of this farm house,
excellent background with the fence, well presented and composed picture..nice contrast and colors.
very well done.

Hi Bev,
This is great! Fantastic POV towards this old farmhouse. Both the exposure and clarity look nice and balanced. I like the green grass between the gaps in the fence, the rocks in the FG look good too. The sky looks a bit unnaturally blue, but the sharpness looks very precise.

Une autre belle composition parfaitement réalisée dans une belle présentation est de belles couleurs naturelles.
Bonne journée.

Hello Beverley! Nice light and colours. Original POV and capture. Very interesting farmhouse. Good contrast. Original take. Well done!

Hi Bev,
don't make em like this anymore do they? More's the pity. A nice slice of rural england, from a interesting POV through the gate.

Hi, Beverley.
Thanks for sharing this picture.
This is really a lovely building for colors, materials, shape.
The building for sale? How many pounds?
(It's a joke)
