I have to confess that I have a significant dandelion 'thing'... grin. See one, gotta getta picture.

They really shine with the light behind them though, which is what I did with this little guy...

Critiques [Translate]

Maggi,

An interesting composition here with some nice lighting on the dandelion. However I think the background is a little grey. It doesn't do justice to your focal subject. I also think there is a little to much of it too. I'm not sure if you have any filters to use, but this would have benefited from them, or if you have some post processing software then you could have added one after.

I always feel a little guilty when I critique poeple on their work because I know how precious people feel about their shots. But I would like to see you go from good shots to great shots and I hope this critique helps you. I hope you take it in the spirit of TL.

I've added a workshop to try and show you what I was saying.

Regards,

Mark

Hello Maggi,
I like your image but I think you should have included a little more of the dandelion. And I do not think Mark's workshop is an improvement at all. Yes a little darker sky would have done it for me, maybe by just increasing the contrast. But mainly I think you should have shown more of the dandelion. Best wishes.
