White Heather.

This is another one of those plants that the bees tend to like and go for so we like to keep some of this nearby for them.

I could see the light in the background so wanted to catch this up close and use the lighter tones as a layer of depth and appeal.

Bom dia Steve,
The mysteries and wonders of the half light and half shade worked with a nice POV and from that one very good shallow DOF, producing an excellent three-dimensional effect.
Awesome submission uploaded with meaning and beauty.

Hi Steve,
Great light on these small white flowers, adapting shallow focusing thus producing a lovely bokeh BG.
A very attractive presentation enclosed in this suitable framework.
Good work.
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Steve,
The play of light makes this shot special. a good case study for making something relatively ordinary into something special.

Good backlighting and good use of the dof to isolate the flowers from the background. Nice composition and wonderful colors. Very well done, tfs.

Romantic shot, the heather is a flower typical for September, sharp FG and nicely blurred BG, well done

Hi Steve, a marvelous presentation of the Heather - such splendid light amd such a pleasing Back ground - I love heather its mostly the last blooming plant in the woods.
My mother used to cover our flower boxes on the balcony with heather for the winter.
Thanks for sharing - brings memories - kind regards Monika

This is just beautiful, Steve ;o))
Superb details and a very well caught bokeh in the floral presentation.
The colors are natural and POV is excellent.
Well caught mood in the picture!

Best regards,
Paras

Hi Steve, a good PoV, allowing some space between the stems of Heather to enable us to see the bokeh with the bright yellow flowers [ I assume that they are yellow flowers?].The yellow brings light into the bg almost as if the sun is shining there.
The sharp focus on the fg heather is excellent.
The framing suits the shot perfectly.
Best wishes Jean.

...I like the artistic play of colors here with greens and whites ...
Super frame to make the image stand out...

White Heather, and the beauty of your garden.
Tasty nectar in these flowers slender to "spike" or "stylus".
The shot is the dark background which makes it stand out.

Very nice! I like the shallow DOF, and the stalks that are nicely focused. Light is fantastic too.
Good work
