Cream Tea

Watersmeet is one of Britain's deepest river gorges, where the lush valleys of the East Lyn and Hoar Oak Water tumble together.

A National Trust property, It is a popular beauty spot on Exmoor National Park, Watersmeet House stands where the rivers meet, this being the former fishing lodge that now serves as tea rooms, and especially Clotted Cream and scones.

This amazing place stands a mile up river from one of North Devon’s devastating scenes way back in the 1950's were the rivers, swollen from the waters pouring from Exmoor, converged downstream to Lynmouth, where much destruction and loss of life occurred due to the vast amount of water escaping to the sea.

Have added some blurred edges to create a quaint, magical feel to a place hidden in the woods.

This looks like a wonderful place hidden in the woods, I really like the pp work that you have do, it works well and the atmosphere is totally magical.
I thought you had used the fisheyes with your camera.
The pov is great and gives a good balance.
Nice lighting too, and now the story can start as in a fairy tale.
You have a very interesting fantasy mind.

Bonjour Steve,

The dream like effect does work, other than the effect, there was a nice light falling on the house, details when not to close of the blurry section look good. the warm tone are very pleasing. TFS.

Ciao Steve, great view of fantastic towers, house, good PP work, excellent clarity, splendid light and colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

This does have the appearance of a fish eye lens. The house in the centre framed by the green foliage works very well.

I'm a member of the NT and not yet visited here. But you've inspired me.

Hello Steve,
Very beautiful indeed with the vignette and the suggestion of sphericity that fits in so well with the rest of the composition. Very well done.

Hi Steve,
I like the frame and the effect of the picture,
Nice blur aroung and beautiful architure of the house,
Nice details and point of view,
well done.

HI Steve,
Lovely PP work to produce this stunning effect to such a common subject. A very artistic presentation with this blur vignette and the slightly distorted POV of the house.
Light is fabulous and the framework is complimenting.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Bonsoir Steve,

Magique composition, le soupçon de floue, donne une très plaisante image emplie de mystère .
Remarquable maison lovée dans la verdure , magnifique lumière et bon choix d'encadrement.
Mes compliments. Belle soirée.

This place looks like an amazing one to sit for hours and enjoy the pure charm of Nature around, Steve ;o))

Great management of light and exposure with superb colors and clarity.
The POV and DOF are well done, and sharpness is amazing too.
I like the architecture of the building and mood associated with it.

Thanks for sharing.

Kind regards,
Paras :)
