Remarkable shot David, the pastel-like colours of the buildings come across really well. So natural and clear. Very nicely composed, there's so much to look at and admire. Maybe clone out the handrail entering the frame on the left, but that's just me being picky. Well captured.
TFS,
Scott.

I love the geometry of architecture and shadow in this shot. Interesting too in the minimal number of colours - hues of earthy tones and browns, a few touches of green and blue.

Hi David, this looks so sunny and hot... GREAT!! Just what we want in NZ right now...
It's a nice scene and the beams leave sharp shadows on the tiles.
It looks very organised, even the trees in the pots leave patterned shadows.
Nice shot

So interesting to see the different styles of architecture, especially in this case, those wind tower things!
Love the neutral sand colored buildings .. kind of adds to the feeling of heat that one gets from this shot. The few splashes of green colors are great, as is the perfect blue sky .. good that you had a few clear days.
Does that mean that you get a lot of wind there which kicks up the dust and sand?

Hi David,
Great HDR, nice representation of the old style of architecture. I never thought about how they kept from heat stroke before air conditioning, interesting point about the wind towers. It still amazes me that people survived in that area of the world for so long...

Hi David,
I need a glass of ice water just looking at this. It LOOKS so hot! I've always liked shadows in photos and this one is no exception. Nice repetitive lines and angles. I must say the wind tower is an interesting concept. I've never heard of it! Bet you are glad for A/C!! Lisa

Well thought and well planned shot David. Absolutely beautiful composition. The framing shot and the exposure very well managed. I see you're getting obsessed in HDR processing but you execute and indeed in very neat image. Excellent work mate.

you nailed this one! all the tonal ranges came out when you did your HDR..which, is really the point. Anything under the sun can be the candidate for this technique...
i was trying to do the same, even when my takes was in broad daylight....
