Another portrait of my lovely daughter. Aside for experimenting, I used scarf here for other purpose (as what I'd realized while doing this kind of artwork) not copying other peoples work.

I like her stare and the scarf arrangement that conveying the BG environment.

PP work included...workout the BG by converting to B&W, played tones, desaturate, mild vignette and USM.

Appreciating your C/C....also please see the original version in WS.

Cheers!

hi Buddy,

This gives me a feeling of unreal because of DOF. The portrait in front is fine and really it is well taken, but the DOF and focus of the camel riders really give me an impression that cut and paste mode.

Of course, may be it is also projected by your pp work of B&W and desaturation. I am not a fan of HPP.

Hi Buddy,
Really like the effect you have created giving this well composed image a almost surreal 3D effect.Well done on a great job.

Ok, no comments about who may have influenced you ...

I understand the intention here, but I think there is one significant flaw that makes it seem unrealistic.

Your daughter's face is sharp, the horseriders are sharp, but the background beyond them is not. I don't know any lens that would deliver that kind of focus. ;)

I think for this to look convincing, you would need to apply a gaussian blur to the entire background image, including the men on horseback, while keeping your daughter's face sharp.

Personally I'm not a fan of the selective saturation, I would prefer all b&w or all colour, but that's me.

Hi Buddy,
An eye catching and creative composition, your daughter is very pretty and you have presented her well but I think the background would have suited a colour also in this case but that is only my opinion. Great PP work and composition. Best wishes
Bri
