Tried my hand at night shots again tonight.
Went in the backyard and tried to capture the moon.
This is one of the good ones.

Imagine my surprise when I opened the photo and saw all those eyes watching me.

No wonder I was feeling watched. Ain't going back there for a loooong time.

Some animals, such as cats, dogs, and deer have a structure called tapetum lucidum in the back of the eye that reflects light back towards the retina, increasing the amount of light it captures. In humans, only 10% of the light that enters the eye falls on photosensitive parts of the retina. An animal's ability to see in low light levels may be similar to what humans see when using first or perhaps second generation image intensifiers. Text: Wikipedia.

PP: cropped, resized and cloned Jonas' eyes on the image for effect.

Hello to those of you that are just looking.
And HELLO and THANK YOU VERY MUCH to those of you that leave critiques/comments/workshops :-).

Gorgeously captured. Great color and very cool pov!! TFS

Vraiment superbe Pierre :)

Daniel

Pierre-

Gesh! I am just getting used to living in the country and going outside at night, now I will be watching for eyes again. This is a very creative image and I like it very much. I like the blues and the clear tree silhouettes, even the eyes. Great job. TFS

Salut Pierre,
Et bien, me voici impressionné.

Great night shot.. Love the blues.. Its not so easy as you all make it look!

Hi Pierre,
One year on TL now (for me) and I've learned that, before jumping to conclusions when looking at a photo, I MUST first read the note all the way! Had I read only part of your note, I would have believed, once again, that there WERE all those animals looking at you!
But, it was a good idea: Not only are we fascinated by that marvellous blue sky, moonlight and silhouetes, but, for a few moments, until we finish reading, we experience a unique feeling of admiring those "creatures" in the darkness!

TFS

Lurdes
