[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is my contribution to this Friday's theme "portraits".

I wanted to do an auto-portrait but who likes taking pictures of themselves. I wanted it to be different, so I dug out this mask and here is the result! I took advantage of my kids being asleep to get creative to permit myself to explore this side of photography...Funny how a glass of wine can give you ideas!!
I used selftimer of 10 sec.delay to allow me to take position...after a few trials, was a bit out of breath!!Ha! Ha! I like the result.

Hope you like it too? thans for viewing.

Olá Sandra,

Very beautiful composition with good light and contrast.
Nice frame and a very good contribution to the friday's theme.

Hi Sandra, what a great idea and you captured a beautiful portrait - the light is just right. Congratulations.

Bonjour Sandra,

Great porttrai idea. Tight cropping is good, the sepia conversion is also very interesting. Good eye contact with the camera. Good exposure. Focus is a bit soft, but I understang it's not easy to very focus from in front the camera. With the color and the softness of focus, plus the mask it could easily be an old picture took with box camera from the last century. Nice work and excellent contribution to the Friday Theme.

Hi Sandra,

The concept for your self portrait is nicely thought out. The close crop and sepia conversion work well too. While the soft focus may help it look like an old photograph from long ago, I don't think that was your intention. I am not heavily into portraiture, but self-portraits are extremely difficult, especially from a focus standpoint. Two key elements in portraiture are eye contact and sharpness in the eyes. Eye contact is excellent here, but your eyes are too soft.

Although the flash is OK here, you may want to consider using some tissue paper to cover the flash and diffuse it in future projects.

Welcome to TL, I hope you learn a lot here!
