[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was a bitterly cold day today but we went out anyway, up to Montreal to visit friends and have lunch together. I took my new Digital Rebel along as I wanted to buy a camera case for it, and some other things, spare battery, cap-keeper, blower brush, etc. etc. Anyway, when we drove home at the end of the day, we stopped at our mail box which is just inside our community entrance driveway and is right near the newspaper stands. The sun was just setting, and though it was still extremely cold, I had to get out and take a picture to try out the new camera. Not very exciting subjects around here but I liked the sunset colours.

Unusual (for me at least) but interesting composition. Colours are gorgeous.

Bonjour Joan,
I love the two lights of that shot. The sunset and the "not too much" flash effect, just enough to give to put something in the foreground. Well done. Congratilations!

Hi Joan,
I don't want to be the new mail man in this area. You gotta hell of a job to figure out who's is who. Great photo with a nice sunset.

hello Joan, it is excellent like idea, the composition is pleasant, the colors are beautiful, it lack can be a little more heat in the colors, (more brilliant colors).

Hello Joan
Would like to see a bit more to the right. Wounderfull background, light, color, etc..
Thank you

What's a cap-keeper? Is it what I think it is? I have to wedge my lens cap somewhere not too convenient. I suppose I am accustomed to that but if there was a stick-on device that would do that job - interesting.
When the wind blows in the right direction, do your mailboxes 'hum'?
Unusual pic, with unusual lighting = compulsion for me to examine ALL and see if there is any mail for you.
