[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot of a hiker taking in the view of Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. It was a little later in the morning than I would have liked and I worked it in Photoshop using the Shadows/Highlights Tool to balance out the exposure and prevent the sky from becoming too washed out. Taken with my old Canon Powershot Pro 1. This has an 'L' lens and I get really nice colours and sharpness from the lens in the camera. Can anyone comment if this is what I can expect from L lenses. I upgraded to a 350D and bought some lenses, but none of them are L. Thanks for having a look at this.

A great landscape photo. The man sitting down taking in the view also adds a touristic atmosphere to the photo. Well DOne

great shot and great view Kenneth

Good shot Kenneth, almost all have been said already, I would have composed it with less rocks at the bottom, naturally more sky and have the hiker sitting possibly at the left corner so he can not distract the viewers + larger size image.. tfs

What beautiful scenery, Kenneth!
Well-composed and stunning colours.
I especially like how you included the hiker in the scene.
Well done, Alla.

WOW! What a wonderful breath taking view!! I wish I was there too to enjoy it! :)
Fantastic sharpness and colours! Great warm lighting and POV! I feel like being on the rocks too! :)
Well done and TFS :)

This is a very well executed landscape shot. Sharpness from font too back and the compo is flowing ! TFS ! About the note on the L lenses, yes, Canon considers L lenses as pro caliber and a cut above other lense makes they manufacture. In fact, it is one of the major marketing points of the Pro 1 .

This is nice Kenneth. I like the way you used the person to add perspective. Congrats on the new camera. The lens question is always up for discussion and debate. I think the best lens are the ones you feel most comfortable with and love to use. The "L's" are indeed good lens and you may want to pursue some of those for the future but just have fun! B

This shot works so beautifully with its immense sense of scale and distance, and the rich colours of the lake and the trees. I think "magnificent" is the word to use, here!

Nice landscape...made more interesting with the human element. Its vivid color, lighting, sharpness and good composition all sum up to only one thing: PICTURE PERFECT

Its a great location and a really well balanced shot, the fogure sitting there giuves a real sense of scale.Maybe a touch over exposed but thats a minor fault
