At Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump could not resist taking a couple pictures of this cute little gopher Considering most of his friends are already hibernating he is a rare sight right now.

Hi Christan,
It's hard to imagine such a cute little guy could be a rodent.
Your pic is beautifully sharp, and the colour and exposure are spot on.
A great nature shot, worthy of any magazine.
Well done,

Cute! What is he thinking, here? Obviously a little surprised to find you there, but he's not quite at the point of running away!

Nice composition, good placement of your subject in a powerful area of the frame, excellent sharpness and light, and I like the refreshing lack of an added frame. ;)

Good work!

LOL!!!! What a face :-).
Excellent capture. Excellent sharpness and details.
Looks like he wanted to share with you :-).

There is a variety who me a little. Mine was not a gopher when i catch some similar... But i believe they are cousins. Here he is very cute. Look like almost a pet. Have the impression he say... What?! Come in... It's delicious! Is it the grand-son of the one we saw in CaddyShack?
It's all right!

What a cutie! Really nice shot her Christan! Love his pose, he is adorable!

hello christan

So cute, indeed :)

hello christian!
very nice shot of this beauty, great sharpness and light.

Christan .. you are good in this sort of stuff.
Nature shots and animals are made for youre camera.
You seem to be in good fit doing these..
Razor sharp.. and I love to see how curiosity wins from fear

Hi Christan
What a great shot. Right place at the right time.. how far away where you... Great computer..
I love that it looks like you interrupted its dinner!!

Excellent capture Christan and well composed with the wee beastie peering around the clump of grass. Good colour and nice light control. TFS,

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Cataract Walk III’

Missed this cutie !

It looks quite used to see humans ! Friendly as a squirrel it seems. Good reflex to capture it sharpely, and framed so well for a clear portrait despite the high grass around it.
