[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just days ago we lost my very dear dad. I miss him terribly. We took his ashes back to the farm and now this is the place I will go to visit him. Today would have been his 90th birthday so I drove out there this morning.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Karen. What a great thing though, that he could be brought back to the farm. You have a lovely spot to visit him.
Thinking of you today, and in the days to come Karen.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's something we all share but don't often speak about.

A poignant and touching tribute.

Hi Karen

My commiserations on the recent loss of your dad. The solitary cross is well positioned in the frame, & the recent addition of colourful flowers, in the otherwise bleak landscape, tells us that he was much loved. Good to see you posting again. Have a nice week. In fact, have a nice year! Be nice to yourself. That's how long it takes, to get over something so traumatic.

Hello Karen.
A beautifull place and a wonderful tribute, my sincere condolences Karen
regards Frans

You have my deepest sympathy Karen, the memories will always linger on even after the healing has been done.
A very befitting tribute to the man that did so much for that land.

Olá karen
This is a very emotional post. There isn´t enough words to cure this kind of pain.
I am here and I hug you.
My respects
Teresat

So sorry to read about your loss Karen.
I hope you will be able to remember your father with a smile though... good memories are always the best.

Lovely moody picture. Good light and lots of space to emphasize the emptiness..........

Take care!
Anneke

Hello Karen,

It is a time when everything feels unreal.
Memories jostle for equality with reality, confusing you even more. Only time heals!
In future, this will be a restful place, where you can share your memories, peacefully.

My heart is with you,
Bev :-)

They say a picture speaks a 1000 words and your shot shows the barrenness and isolation that you are probably feeling. The cloudy skies indicate that moisture is very close. In the midst of the barrenness and clouds are the beautiful fowers which may symbolize your memories. These are the real tribute to a loving dad.
I lost my own dad just a couple of years ago and he is close to me through my memories. My thoughts and condolences Karen
warm regards
David

Hi Karen,
My condolences on your loss. Being a farmboy I appreciate the spot you have chosen to remember him. Best wishes to you and your family in this first Christmas season without your dad.
