The 1971 Ferrari 312B2 of Jacques Ickx aka Jacky Ickx. Pay attention how close the driver is sitting close to the engine, and how squeezed he is at his shoulders. Not much protection if the car was hit from any angle basically.
You needed to be crazy to drive those cars during these years. No wonder so many drivers were killed in the early years of Formula 1.
Today ,cars are much safer and reliable. Faulty material can be detected often before an incident happen.
The latest GP in Valencia was the perfect exemple. Mark Webber survived easily a bad accident.
Note Jacky's daughter , Vanina is also a racer (^_^)
A little wink to Belgium today as the Tour de France visited Antwerpen, Bruxelles, Spa, and many localities recently.

For me it is also nicely then again here to see you. I can see that you changed interests (races) and new camera.
I am trying continuously to do something new and to go ahead. I have many ideas and little time.

Hello Robert! A fine close-up of Jackie's car! Good composition and very sharp image of that moving car, well done my friend, thanks!

Beau travail, compliments.
