Some may go ho-hum at this. B-)

It's an HDR image of this beautiful tree that I spotted on my travels in North Texas. I love trees, I especially love these oaks. I took one shot and processed it 3 different ways and added it into my HDR program. I love taking shots like this and practicing with my different programs.

For me, trees have a lot of character. No two alike. I find them to be a mirror of what I want to be. Feet firmly planting on the ground, arms in the air, reaching for GOD/Light. So I have many pictures of trees and will continue to take them, as long as I am here in this Earth.

We had major storms last night, flooding, I was up most of the night. So it's spring in Texas.
Hope you all have a great day!
B-)
Linda

No ho-hum from me. I think this is a lovely image enhanced beautifully by HDR.

Hello Linda,

The trees remind me life: its branches represent the paths that appear each time ahead of us. And we can only choose one.

Beautiful tree and colors! Did you use backlight in your PP?

Congratulations and TFS.
SPH,
Sergio

Hi Linda

There's a bit of ghosting or 'halo', around the tree, but it's not too bad. This looks more like Africa than Texas. I half expect a lion or zebra to come wandering by! Excellent colour & sharpness, and the tree makes a superb focal point. Tfs!

Linda
L'arbre est magnifique et le résultat de ton travail de PP excellent.
Amicalement

Ciao Linda, again neighbour:), beautiful composition with wonderful great tree, splendid light and colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Linda,

I've got to admit, I've got a bit of a tree fetish too - Angry Tree as an example! They certainly have some character. I especially love the bright foliage against a deep blue sky (with a PL-CIR).

I love the composition and colours, but I must be honest in that I find the halo around the tree a little distracting. Otherwise, good one/

Regards,
Phil

Hi Linda..nice HDR image..great details and tones...I have a little trouble with the halos from photomatix...I notice some shots are free of it and some aren't ....in the shots where you don't want it, how do you manage getting rid of it?

Roger

How do you do on Arbor Day?
The glow does not bother me at all! But... the horizon tilt? is the tree on a hill and its just really Planted Firmly?I love the deep blue that surrounds the tree.....

hi linda,
trees are amazing. not only to look at but to touch.

this tree has a magical and powerful feel to it. your pp has given it a soul.
hugs,
Brian

I love trees as well and this is a perfect shot of this one. I like the highlights of the sun on the leaves set against the blue sky. It’s a nice transition of colors from the horizon to the corners of the shot. tfs

Hi Linder--
NOT just another tree shot. Beautiful COLORS and just the right lighting. PS-- I counted 135 trees in my yard. Guess who'se doing a lot of spring clean-up? TFS this beauty ! Julie

Hi Linda,
You trees too? :-) Great one, yes those lonely trees are often very photogenic. You captured this one perfect, nicely slightly out of the centre. Great presentation my dear!
