[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I saw these two leaves overlapping, and I tought it looked like a heart shape. I adjusted the shadows/highlights, but nothing else. The leaves were backlit by the sun. That's how I got the white background. I added the ecru inner border to break up the white space a little (and I wanted to try something in the style of John van Aarle and Chritine Kradolfer).

I want to site their works:

nice PP work and backlighting is really working in this shot.and little bit grainy looked better to me.other than the two leaves in the centre,it is nice to see two other semi leaves on the corners.

Hi Amy

Beautifully constructed composition I like the way the leaves sit outside the frame. Also I like the translucent nature of the leaves. The two small bits on the left and top right i would probably have left out of the composition

Well DOne

very cool idea amy :)
the natural shades of green from the two leafs are great
i like the framing you done here

Hi Amy, what great composition and pp work youve done here...well done and congrats..martha

Very nicely done, Amy. I am normally not a big fan of big frame as I think that a good picture does not need one (I am here to look at pictures not at frames...but that is just me). However, I must say that in this case you made it work.

I am going back & forth about the inclusion of the other leaves on the sides and cannot decide if I like them or not. The overlapping leaves are very nice (but the left side of the one at the bottom does not seem as sharp as the top one) and I like the darker green you got on the overlap. Well done!

Amy, you've taken one heck of a shot, and made some awesome enhancements. Really makes this image stand out! Great work! A new fave! TFS!

a beautiful photo,
good color and quality of image

Very nice, Amy! The way you framed it makes a big difference. I think it is ready to be mounted! An original POV and composition, and good use of the white space. Great job!

Hi Amy,
Isn't it cool what nature can do? Nice way for you to interpret it. :-) Good presentation.

And what a style we see!!!
VERY nicely worked out Amy !

it's realy a great way to mix natural subject and graphic compo..... and I like also the title..;-)))

Beautifully done Amy, the backlight worked well and you did a wonderful job of the inner frame. TFS.

Like the lighting.

Hello Amy, this is very well done, the transparency of the leaves, the way that you disposed them on this pur white bg, and the ofwhite frame under the leaves.

Very well done. Cheers, Yan

Here's one very original! Kis between two leafs? Wow! I like the idea very much! And it's well showed.. Excellent observation!

Hi Amy, very very nice, love it, and thanks so much for mentioning me, since John is sending you the cheese and the Heineken, I from Peru offer you Pisco Sour, and Cebiche, and Mazamorra Morada for dessert, and a stroll through downtown Lima at nigth for a photographic session,
A big hug for you,

excellent color and pp work, love the frames.

I have leaf love right now! I love these leaves! :)))

You've used an artist's eye to create this one, Amy. It's not boring or predictable, and it breaks some rules. Good use of the ecru frame - I like the way you were thinking.

"Simply" marvelous...

Gayle :)

Hi Amy, Great PP work here, your framing along with the composition are unique and different. In addition, the original shot is technically perfect. And finally, I am honoured to be the one to get you past the 1000 mark - congratulations. Sam
