Hello Linda

A good looking Cowboy here. I like the soft shadows on the face. Helps add a lot of character to him. Not sure about the shoulder bag behind him, But this is the county fair. Nice candid capture.

Hello Linda, you have to look the part when you go to the County Fair, and this young man certainly fits in nicely.
A good portrait; I like the way that he is not looking directly at you, although he must have known that you were taking a shot of him[?] The lighting is perfect.
Jimmy mentions the bag, would it have been an idea to just crop a little closer at the top so as to remove the badge on the bag?

Anyway, good work as always, regards Jean.

Hi Linda,
Nice for you to have got all these beautiful photos!
Very good play of shadows and light on this cute cowboy. I love his pose taking the pole.
Superg textures on his jacket.
Best regards! Annie

Heh! Not only does he have the outfit, but I can totally see that expression on the face of John Wayne or Lee Marvin. Attitude is everything. Well spotted and well captured! My only other thought for this would be that you could've dialled the aperture wider for a narrower DOF, softening some of those background details?

Nice shot!

Hi Linda,

Nice capture of the little cowpoke! There's definitely an air of self confidence in his expression. In my opinion, DOF is not an issue here. You're showing part of the environment and that goes with the scene. The vignetting does a nice job placing more emphasis on the boy anyway.

Warm regards,

Believe me or not, he has the real looks of Cowboy, and you deserve a great applause for catching his real expressions, Linda ;-)

Great diagonal positioning of him against a rusty rod. The sharpness and DOF are excellent, and light is nicely managed. Great job on this one!

my greetings,

Sweet shot of adorable subject Linda. Both of you captured the spirit of a cowboy. Good lighting and color, sharp detail, nice presentation. Good job, Lori

Hi Linda..nice portrait...your diagonal composition works very well..nice light and focus...I am sure it isn't easy to this guy to stay still.....
