[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Merced River southwest of Yosemite. To obtain the soft water look, I set the aperture at f27 with a shutter speed 1 second resulting in the wild soft water look. Applied the auto contrast, color and level in PS6. Enjoy

Hi Vic,
A very effective shutter speed to produce this action shot. A very wild river indeed! Good exposure management in this rather difficult situation.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Ciao Vic, great exposure for a lovely floy effect, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

I like the effect of the slow speed on the water. I went to Yosemite about 3 weeks ago but the Merced river was almost dry! No waterfalls! Nice lighting and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Bravo et maitié

Though one sees OE on some parts of running waters but overall, the picture retains the mood it has meant for, Vic!

Light and exposure are quite good and colors are natural.
The DOF is nicely done and a low POV worked well too.
Good job!

Kind regards,

Hi,the slow shutter speed is producing that foamy, boiling look almost like a cloud. It's very attractive and unusual, all the best,Otto.

Hi Vic,
A nice wild river with a great effect and atmosphere,
the slow speed and great exposure (F-27) made a sharp picture and compositjon,
excellent light and contrast..too.
