[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
John Thompson recites a prayer for fallen soldiers with an honor guard. Veterans of Foreign Wars and family bow their heads at a Memorial Day Celebration in curlew Washington besides the Kettle River. A wreath was tossed into the river by Brad Miller as taps were played before a crowd of veterans relatives.

Hello Bob
I really like this different POV. Our Newspapers usually show the same POV all the time.... I also like how you added the notes it tells the story!!!.. how you captured the importance of this day without singling out anyone person....

May We Never Forget!

Wow! This is really awesome Bob. The colors are so eyecatching, along with the POV. I can tell you are a pro. I know you might not like editing your pictures a lot, but the thing that is distracting is the dish satellite..
Really great capture here though; something to cherish forever!
:)
Thanks for sharing,
Leanne

Hello Bob,

What a great POV. I feel to be eavesdropping on a very private ceremony! I really like how the shot moves from the shadows into the light!

Kind regards,

Many thanks for your comments on 'A film puzzler ...'

Bev :-)

Hola Bob.
Original PoV e interesante tradición.
Desconozco que exista esta costumbre en mi país, sé que existe un día de la Fuerzas Armadas en la que se rinde homenaje como en este caso a los caídos, pero no es una celebración aparte de otras...
Una original idea y nota.
Saludos, JL.

Very good pov and composition to highlight the contrast of dark shades of color and shadow, giving a mood for the event.

Great level of shot. Captured in a good timing.

Bonjour Bob,
J'ai l'impression de faire partie de la scène, cette photo impose un certain respect.
J'aime bien le format de présentation qui est un peu "décalé" par rapport à l'action.
Bonne journée

Karèle

An important moment captured creatively and respectfully, Bob. You skillfully give a sense of both the place and the heart and soul of the event. Not, perhaps, a conventional composition, but an apt one, with our attention directed to the flags and bowed heads. Well done.
