[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another photo from the inside of the hotel at Garnet Ghost town. These chairs are located in the dining room of the hotel. Again I did not have a tri-pod, so I needed to use the available light and a steady hand to make the photo as sharp as possible.

A little PP work to enhance the colors and light.

A good follow-up to your picture of yesterday. I like the light here and congratulation on your very steady hands! Very nicely composed and it gives nice details of the mood of the place. Well done!

P.S. You should create a travelogue to capture all of your pictures from that trip in one place. I find that feature quite interesting as you can write some general comments about your trip and then keep all of the pictures in one place.

a good example of a nicely captured light and shadow playing harmoniously with the subject at hand! congrats on this well composed photo! Ron

I love the light and shadows, and the complex patterns created in this. Nice tones of colour too.
Tripod (or another chair to prop the camera on) may have made all the difference to the sharpness of this.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Niek,
more of those great chairs. Very nice captured., shows of the wonderful details of those vintage charirs very well. Excellent light and very nice POV.

Hi Niek,
Interesting to see the old chairs all in different design!
Good lighting giving a warm atmosphere to this tired place...
Well framed and with good details!

Dat zouden meer mensen moeten doen...... available light.... bij 1/6 sec, knap hoor! mooie sfeerfoto, kleur/licht/scherpte/comp: prima!

hi Niek,
nice monochromatic leanings. Good shot.
Regards, Daniel

Hi Niek,

Lovely photo! I like how the sun light illuminates the place! It enhances the colours and textures of the chairs, floor and wood on the wall. Great POV!
Well done!

Also beautiful work, perfect for the time
great composition, beautiful visual!

Looks great, Neik. I think you have a good eye to have spoted this. The composition is great. I have to agree with Rew, though, I think you should have borrowed one of those chairs to set the camera on. Also, is there any extra space at the top of the frame? I think it might look better with just a smidge more room up there. And I would suggest just a slight rotation to get those vertical lines vertical.

Erg mooie sfeervolle foto Niek, ben blij dat je er weer bent van je trip met zulke geweldige mooie foto's...ga ze zeker de komende dagen beter bekijken ;)

Good atmosphere of times past and the emptyness

kan zo op marktplaats he .... (grapje)

magistraal mooie belichting hier.

This has to be my favorite of all your photos! It just grabs me! Great shot! I really like the old chairs!

Nice composition and exposure Niek - have you tried this shot in B & W?

Hi Niek,
I really love this, you have captured the ambience perfectly as you do in all your photographs!
Lovely understated tones and colours. But, it would be perfect for me if the left hand side was a little less exposed and the highlights still reatined some colour and detail especially on the floor boards, this would improve the 'ambience' further.
Yes, I read your note re tripod - even using a chair as a temp tripod would have worked - when will you visit there again....?
