Hello My TrekLens Friends:
In this post of my Unusual Rose Series  from Portland Rose Garden, I am posting an  Unusual Shaped Rose. It was unusual in that it was very bright.  It was in the middle of the garden, and that meant all kids of light was coming to its petals.   Again this was hand held with the same 'Chandler Trick', of holding my breath and resting my elbows on my knees, and holding the shutter release until the framing was done and I saw the image on backlit. It was just one click, since the man behind me looked mean and big!
The  textures of colors was just beautiful. Its petal arrangement looked kind of egg shaped. Now since this one was a bright rose, I turned  my ISO at 100, and opened the F stop at 5.6. But this time my ambient light was going to come with shutter speed 1/30 sec. The slower shutter speed was going to allow the light to work a little longer, catching the dents & bumps. So here I go again!
In PP work nothing much other that reducing saturation by 5% and sharpness at 15%. and giving it a contrast of 5%, reducing brightness -5%. The border is done as before using three layers.
OK, then just a reminder; Never play with Snakes, Guns, and Spiders. Happy Trekking.
Please visit my Rose Garden if you get a chance.
