[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the movie "Forest Gump" the title character was seen jogging cross-country and when his issues were still unresolved he turned around on the walk way to the light and headed back west.
Marshall Point Lighthouse sits in the tiny fishing village of Port Clyde and shows the way from the Atlantic Ocean into Muscongus Bay and the St. George River.

great image, I like the mood and the colours, interesting subject of the photo
my compliments

Hello Tom,

My perception of this was quite different when I saw it on the thumbnail! I did not pick up on the bridge and saw it as the base of the lighthouse. Imagine my surprise when I studied it more carefully!!
A great lead into the shot, to an elevated position where it is possible to look down on the romantically, rich sky and moody sea. Then, the smaller details like little birds!

Well done, my friend,
Bev :-)
I'll be back!

hi Tom

Beautiful warm glow of sky just perfect for this lighthouse capture.

The light in the lighthouse is just giving true meaning to this shot. The little bird at the edge, the walk leading to the house, all details are well done.

tfs, bill

HI Tom..nice composition...great colors and sharp details.

Hello Tom
Excelent POV with the lighthouse to enter in the water; great contrast and colours, and a great composition, very rigorous, almost geometric with a great graphic impact. Excelent work.
Regards, mb

Hi Tom
Nice contrast between light house and the red sun set. Heavy contrast is pretty well managed. Colors sweet and soft and well composed.

I'm picking up a little noise in the planking and the door but not bad.

This might have been a good place to take three or five bracketted images in a burst, then bring them together in the software to preseerve the detail in the planking of the walk way. Just an idea.

Hi Tom,
I really like the warm sunset colors in this shot. The off centered composition and POV are very nice. Looks like a peaceful place to spend some time.

Hi Tom,
Very good composition,beautiful photo,congratulation.
Best regards,

Beautiful sunset scene, I like the compo with the focal point of the lighthouse on the BG of the red sky, the double curve of the white bannister and the steel sea....

Your BG on this Tom is stunning! LOVE the smooth orange, very RICH and just enough light to see the walkway here! Nice just off center lighthouse, beautiful!

Hi Tom,

We did go to the movies to watch that film with a whole family and friend group, but I can not remember those details.
But this composition looks indeed lovely with that wooden walk way leading up to the light.
The colour of the sky is perfect (my favourite colour). And of course there has to be at least one seagull in a picture like this - and indeed there is.

Have a lovely Sunday,

Hello Tom
I presume this quite sympathic character drew his relentless energy from the bright bulb that seems to take over the fading glory of sky.
Or was he a contemplative poet!
Best regards.

Helo Tom
Beautiful lighthouse at sunset and Tom Hanks have choise excellent place for his movie
Thanks for sharing
