[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph was taken in the mall section of Central Park in New york city. This is a commonly photographed area of the park and has been in the scenes of various movies including Vanilla Sky. The walk way is on my my personal favorites that the park has to offer! The this area changes dramatically from season's change. The summer months will look completely different as the trees are full of leaves and by winter, it is as shown. The winter months show great exposure to the unique twists and turns of the various trees that like this walk way.

I wanted this photo to apprear to be taken with a wide angle. I cropped the photo to accomplish this and also converted the photo to black and white. I added black border to make the tones stand out even more.

i hope you all enjoy!!

Wow! I love the dark shadows cast upon the ground. I do wish the picture was larger in format though. The crop is really good, and the contrast, lighting, and details.
Nice one!

really love the way you show this image, tones, shadows and perspective

Hi Christian..nice black and white image...great tones and details.

hi Chris
realy good shot here love how you black and white it makes the trees realy stand out tfs
regards bryan

Naked graphic trees, shadows reflected on the sidewalk, great perspective, all work together in making a moody shot.
Maybe the shot needed a bit more light, I think it would've enriched the grayscale array of tones, and I also would've gone for a slightly thinner frame, but that's just my opinion and nevertheless, a really nice job, Christian!
Best regards,
p.s.I loved Vanilla Sky!!!

You're on to some really interesting composition ideas Christian. Especially like the lines in this photo. The b/w makes it work even better. I like the contrast . . . rich blacks and popping whites. Well done.

Hi Christian,
What a stunning B&W composition.Silhouettes, lighting and sharpness are very good..TFS.

Hi Christian,
Nice view on this park. You exploited well the perspective with the mall section with these walkers. The horizontal format is effective I like the lazy day's mood and the light with the plays of long shadows. Very well done! Annie

Hello Christian,
indeed the black frame makes a for a tight shot, bringing all the dark tones together.
I like the trees skeletons pointing to the sky and their dark shadows on the ground.I think you achieved your aim, well done.
Tfs, regards Jean.

I know this walk Christian, been there may times (my hometown)
You have captured the mood and essence of the place well.
The b/W was a great idea.
Nicely done.

Hi Cristijan
Very nice black and white image

Salam Christian
Excellent black & white shot,
Very good light control and sun effect.
If there were no people, then it will seems more scary and more attractive in my opinion.
Well done and thanks for your kind visit.
Regards :)
