This was taken while Linda was up in New England this October.. Yes she has one like it in her gallery and YES it was her idea to place our cameras on a post to get the long exposure!! But YES it was me that pressed the button on my camera!!! =)

Thanks for the tips and lessons while you where here Linda aka shelbeesmom =)=)

Hi Tricia,

Beautiful how you've captured the water. Very beautiful lighting and the colours and contrast are nice and vivid. Great sharpness and composition. Well done!

Hello Tricia
Loved the dark tones of the f/g stone and brick at the left.

Nice use of slow shutter (may be more slower would have delivered acurate smoky effects???)

Nicely composed and presented

Hi Tricia,

The shutter speed you chose did a nice job softening the water flow, but also left enough sharpness to provide the impression of movement. The plants and stone in the wall provide a nice touch of color. You've composed the shot very well, TFS! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Warm regards,
Werner

Tricia
Très beau filé pour rendre le mouvement de la cascade et très belles couleurs sur le mur et les feuillages.
Amicalement

Hello,
Beautiful view very well captured with nice colours and great soft composition. It's a wonderful shot.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hi Tricia

Superb capture and love the composition. The exposure is well done to create the flowing water effect. Did a workshop with HDR effect, its something new that I have been playing with lately and I find often adds to an image, brings out some beautiful details the camera has already captured but are not always evident to the eye.

Paul

Beautifully lit lovely colours and details Nice capture of the water
warm regards

Hi, Tricia,

Right back at you with the Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for this fine waterfall shot. You show your state off well.

I've been on a waterfall theme in my Trek galleries this year, so I'm especially aware of a well-executed shot. You did all the basics right with clarity and sharpness and exposure. Nice shutter work, too.

Still, I think the true cornerstones of this image, what really make it work, are compositional. First, placing the waterfall off center and using the rule of thirds to very good effect. Second, framing it with that wonderfully textured pillar of rock on the right.

Excellent!
Jim

P.S. ...and great for the theme!

OMG! Yours is 10 times better than mine! I MEAN THAT! This is super sharp, very nice close crop Tricia! Perfect for the theme I would say! Dang girl! You did a great job with this one! Beautiful work!
