Route 58 is a mountainous route in Northern Vermont, from Montgomery Center it takes you up over Hazen's Notch which is actually closed during the winter months since it takes you up and over JayPeak the highest mountain here in Northern Vermont at 1,176 metres (3,858 feet) . Anders and I went up to the Trail Center where you can rent snowshoes or cross country skiis and also rent time to hike the trails there. Over 30 landowners generously allow 40 miles of trails to pass over 2000 acres of private land for public use. Its beautiful and I look forward to hiking up there this summer..:)
The drive up was amazing with all the snow we've had this winter at least 4' has fallen here and with out much wind alot of snow is making the branches on the trees droop. I took this photo while Anders was driving through the windshield so I did have to sharpened it up a bit and I cloned out a powerline that was really interfering with the natural beauty.

Hi Donna,
Long time I don't visit your gallery!
It seems you have more snow than us, this year.
This wonderful photo is the proof.
What a beautiful light you captured here! The snow-covered path and trees compose a such romantic scene. Bravo! Annie

Lovely shot with great colours and PoV. - Well done. Best wishes

Hi Donna,

Very nice winter landscape! Great POV!

Wow , this is a killer shot , do i love that blue-tinged sky in that gap up through the branches , just as in an earlier posting it could not be better exposed as the highlights are so well controlled with all that white , shot through the windshield it appears wrapped in a sort of ethereal softness very pleasing to the eye , skillfully pp'ed Donna , TFS,

Hi Donna
It's a beautiful scene.
Is it scary riding in this snowy road ? Very good work on pp that I don't see a powerline.

Lovely winterscape Donna!! Nice compo, great light and exposure.. Good effort through the windscreen and no sign of cloning so a good PP job too..

HI Donna
I took that road in the fall 2 years ago and as you say its quite the climb to get to Jay Peak, but what sceneries it offers.
YOu did a great job with the cloning and I like how you cropped out part of the road to give us a nice white scenery.

Hi Donna,
Beautiful soft tones and eye catching texture of snowy branches
