|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I have been coming to Northern Wisconsin every summer since I was a wee baby. This is the lake we would stay on before my parents finally bought a parcel of land on another lake and built a summer house. |
This was where everyone came to buy minnows and other bait for fishing. It was owned by two spinster sisters, who I used to call the "minnie ladies." They have been gone for many years, but they are icons of the Star Lake area, and this historic spot is kept up as a tribute to them.

Ahhh, the memories! This is why photographer's notes are so important here on TL. I often reflect back and so much wish that I had photographed buildings and other things that are now gone. At least you had another chance with this shack.
The shot is nicely composed, but to be honest, it could be a bit sharper. The camera settings seem adequate (maybe a slower shutter and smaller aperture for greater DOF?), so maybe there is a little camera shake going on?
I like the scene here and your interesting note. The autumn colours are lovely but like Werdir says your image could be a little more sharper. I don't know what time of day you took the shot but it looks like the sun was fairly bright. Possibly you could have used an ISO of 200 or even 100, rather than 400. This may have captured a sharper image. A lovely composition though.
