I'v noticed that once in a while with just the right amount of water returning out to sea from a previous set of incoming waves, at just time, the right angle and the right speed colliding with an incoming wave of a similar combination of volume, speed, angle and time of collision you get what I call a standing wave. I love it. I'v stood for hrs just waiting. I can sometimes tell a second or two ahead if I'v got one or not. As the tide changes of corse then it's time to move on.
I just love the transparency colors and shapes. It' addicting.
