[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot because I was intrigued by the rocky hill with the tree on the top. I wondered how it got there. It seems unlikely that the wind blew the seed that high and it seems to be alone.
The area is very close to MOunt Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota.A car was cloned out on the left hand side and HDR was added to enhance the colour. ASA was higher than it should have been thus a little graininess. Hopefull this does not detract too much from the shot.

Hi David

Looks a little like the Devils Tower in Wyoming. Good graphism of the dark rocky outcrop against the blue sky with excellent sharpness & colour saturation. Tfs!

Ciao David, lovely composition with fantastic rock, wonderful bright colors, splendid light and excellent clarity, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Boa tarde David,

Excellent POV to take this excellent shot.
Really interesting the tree on the top of the rock hill.
Beautiful colors. very good light and contrast.

Parabéns!
Sergio

Amazing rocky hill you have spotted on the road side, David!

Great focus and nice contrast aghainst a lovely deep blue sky.
The colors are natural and POV is excellent.

Surely a place to visit for enjoyment.

Thanks and regards,
Paras

Hi David,
A splendid bend in this agreeable POV. A very interesting rock. Perfect sharpness although I can notice some noise.
Good contrast adorned with suitable lighting.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi David, I like the pov with the bend in the road and not just the rock. A few months worth of dust would have been enough in the cracks up there for any seeds the birds left behind to grow.I might have been tempted to clone out the roadside marker in the fg. Fiona

Close Encounters.

Hello David.

I like the layered effect of road, trees, rock and sky, the bend does give attraction to the image. The left corner of the bend added here balances the image so well. TFS

Boa noite david
interesting formation. indeed...( in front of the curve,,,a little dangerous too) but it gives an interesting photo with good sharpness and textures.
