A nice attempt to produce this effect which I like! Beautiful B&W presentation of a common thing but you rendered it artistic. Beautiful architecture. Good details of the old door and an excellent photojournalistic presentation.
My best regards,

Robert, I don't know if I would agree that the photo is of poor quality ... I think the quality is very well suited to this particular photo. I like the way you've centered the doorway and the person. Love it!

Hi Robert, I would not worry about the quality at all, the black and white is just right and the eyes are lead to the main motif - the homeless at the door of God's house.
Something tragic -
Thanks for sharing - kind regards Monika

A meaningful capture, the clarity and quality of the image fits the thoughts one should feel to those in need. Perfect choice of greyscale. tfs

I like the mood you have captured in this shot, Robert!
A hard daily life scene captured with dramatic light and exposure.
It could potentially be a strong documentary picture!

It's not the quality but the message that counts in this post. I like the choice of going B&W for the very sad moment. Good lighting and dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

The composition is strong and we could talk about for long time. I like your B/W choice and I don´t see poor quality... A great sad " story".

In my humble observation, I've seen poor people often stay closer to the church or to the mosque in Islamic countries. It suggests a tendency that God prevails among poverty or perhaps higher number of poor people are believer. Whatever is the case, we need further evidence. However, your picture is thought provoking and contains immence attaction. You've beautifully presented in monochrome. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

This is a good documentary shot because the individual is not initially recognizable from the collection of clothes that we see. The homeless are part of the invisible society that we often fail to see without taking a closer look. Also we look first at the beauty in the shot before looking elsewhere. I also like the symbolism of showing the individial sleeping outside those doors because so many doors are closed to the homeless.

Photo very poignant and on which it is difficult to speculate about photography and qualities.
I say only that if not would been poignant if it was not a photo of good quality.

Hi Robert, the quality isnt that big a deal, with the subject matter it gives it the feel of a shot taken during the Great Depression. Fiona
