[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It appeared to me,that the lone tree in the bright sunshine, seemed to be calling the trees in the shade, to follow him out from the darker shadows.

I like the composition and this scene is very typical central California landscape. Good pov and dof with nice contrast. I like the choice of B&W, looks better than a color would. Well done, tfs.


I like your note which shows a nice interpretation of this scene.
A photo taken on the day before Christmas in early afternoon, before I read the exif, I thought I saw a photo of summer because the shadows and light are strong.
I think the vertical presentation is well here because reading the picture is pleasant with a good balance.
Clever b&w choice, the contrast are interesting and, for me, I see a superb pencil drawing.

Completing your note, there are at least 5 trees poping out of the lethargy of the shadows and starting to come out to light as it's possible to see by the light trail just below the tree guide.
