[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been adjusting the light in the studio...last week all the lights were moved to the ceiling so there is no possibility of tripping over them in the dark. The position of the lights is as follows: 1. Top Light, 2. Left front/side, 3. Left side, 4. Right Front/side, 5. Right side, 6. Right rear (Rim).

A control panel is set up with dimmers for each light so a subject comes into the studio, sets or stands and the lights are adjusted in any ratio. This shot of my friend Steve took about one minute to set up and perform.

The photo was converted to black and white in NIK's Silver Efex Pro.

I will start giving workshops on lighting through Calumet (our pro store in San Francisco) beginning this summer. Five students will come to the studio and photograph models while adjusting their light using the built in system.

A well taken portrait with nice management of light and exposure, Roger!
Quite natural skin tones and the off white of the shirt really stands out against a black BG.
