When I saw this view it made my climb all the more worth while. The yellow flowering trees in the foreground are three of the several varieties of wattle which grow around Launceston.

The darker patch of trees including conifers is Cliff Grounds seen here.
The large body of water is First Basin and the Alexandra suspension bridge seen here.

Further up the North Esk River is Second Basin, the last pool which can be seen. Hopefully I can show this at a later date. I did set out to do that walk a while back but found the track closed.
My walk down the hill now takes a left turn, no more steps just a sloping path zigzagging back and forth.

I still have some more of Corra Lynn to show as well as Woolmer's Estate and the rest of the journey down the hill to First Basin. On the same day I visited Woolmers I also dropped in at Brickendon Estate. Brickendon, owned and farmed by the same family for over 170 years offers a rare opportunity to experience and enjoy early colonial Tasmania. The homestead has gardens dating back to the 1830s, and the original settlers' township of the same vintage includes a convicts' chapel. Brickendon... coming up plus flowers, views from my morning walks, cats, dogs and the occasional experiment with HPP.

Hi David,
A beautiful landscape with a good composition. I like this river making a diagonal. This walk was to be very pleasant. Bravo! Annie

Thank you. What else is there to say, that it is a lovely photo, yup although that speaks volumes for itself, you must have done it right David because we all want to see more. Just a swell you arent (I hope) allergic to the Wattles flowers or you really would have been a sorry state, its a shame they produce a reaction in so many people. Two of my girls reach for the antihisamins the moment the wattles sart to flower and still sneeze and wheeze and look like they have been in a boxing match. Thanks again.

Hi David!
I like this excellent panorama of the mountains and river. The inclusion of the
bridge gives relative dimensions of the place and by itself is a beautiful element.

The bridge is a good idea to take if we are not familiar... It look scarped place! I enjoy the complex contour covered of mixed vegetation!
