This was the first time that I had taken the EOS 20 anywhere and I was really impressed with the way it managed to meter this shot. Into the sun which resulted in this flare. It works quite well here but can ruin shots sometimes.
I sharpened this and increased the contrast and slightly reduced the brightness, framed it and hey presto...I quite like the angle of the seagull here.
Thanks for viewing.
Mike

An inventive shot with an unusual angle - and I presume some adjustment of colour balance, since the reds here are somewhat reduced?

It's creative - perhaps too creative for many - but I like your take on a shot that otherwise would be "just another seagull photo," and a nice title by the way!

Nice shot.
Good composition.
Parabens.

I like it but the frame is not necessary - its merges with rocks.
Colours rocks! :)

Hi Mike,

Love the composition of this image a lot. The POV is lovely and the flaring from the sun is really nice to the overall oictre.

I must confess the way your picture attracted me was because of the title: i'm a fan of this book and all the philosophy behind...
But your picture is in adition veru original for the way you taken it: nice angle, nice pov... very beautiful illsutration for such a beautiful story!
TFS; cheers,
V.

Great shoot against the sun! The tilt in the photo gives a little extra to the composition. Nice done.
