This pair of daffodils pretty well sums up my mood the last day or so. Bright and dark, ragged around the edges even some graininess but I do see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I have returned to the family taxi service and even managed a trip to the library today, possibly overdid that one but I did take it easy. I am still not firing on all four cylinders but there are many out there far worse of than me. My thanks to all who have emailed enquiring about my health, the concern has been appreciated.

Hi David,
It's been a while since we had our springtime here and our daffodils are long gone...
Love this illuminating image, as if the sun is shining from my screen.

I really think it's funny how you have spring, while we have autumn and you have winter when we have summer........ somehow it's always nice on at least one side of this planet eh??

Cheers,
Anneke

Hi David,
The serrated petals are most pronounced and attractive. Lovely sunshine stroking the well metered petals. I like the frame. Regards, Danilo

Hello David
I'm happy to know that your feeling nowadays has the warmth of this pair of colourful flowers and this fine work demonstrates the return of a liking for precisely-executed presentations, manifestation of a normal drive.
Pleasing textures and well-metered exposure.
Have a g'day.

hello David
a great shot with excellent pov and colours.
nice presentation . even the mosquito add something to the pic.

wish you the best.

thanks for your nice comment on
"triumvirate".
I wander how you didnt gave me a credit !!!
it is obvious that the 4th one is just an ordinary tourist
that wanted to be pictured by his friend.
do you believe I would miss enother interesting character,
if was one?
at that moment it was a great pov to catch the 3
in a very good position, and to neutralize
the one who was not belong to the main subject.
best regards
David

Looks pretty good to me David, so glad to hear that some of your cylinders are up and running again.
Ah daffodils, we have to endure a winter before we get to see them - a real spring flower.
A beautiful and sunny picture and wonderful framework, thanks!

Els

Hello David,

I'm so glad that there is increasing light at the end of the tunnel; that's what you are striving for.

This is a good analogy of your frame of mind. Well captured and well noted. The details of colour and texture on the daffodils are very good. Of course, daffodils are spring flowers. Now you have the summer to look forward to!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi David,
I love this picture. The color and detail in these daffodils are wonderful. I like the way you composed this shot. The 3D frame is outstanding. Very nice work.

Kevin

Well my friend of many faces I can’t possible catch up on all the great images I have missed, but I do want to comment on this one. The colour and composition just jumped out at me, as I went thru your gallery. I like the softness and I love your comparative note. Framing is excellent for this image. I am pleased you’re feeling better and wish you all the best.
Warmest Regards
Wanda

Mmm... a difficult one, David (yeah, I checked first lol). I like the excellent sharpness on the rightmost flower, but on the other hand I think the Dof is too shallow: the bug on the leftmost flower is out of focus, as is everything inside the flower. I think I'd prefer a larger DoF here, which would have been very well possible since the frame you made would hide possible sharp flowers behind these two.
That being said, the sunlight provided beautiful colour saturation, and I definitely like the orange edges on the petals. The frame works for me, but on the right hand side there's a weird spot on the intersection between flower and edge...
Anyway, TFS
