Hi Natasha,
Welcome to TL, we need more kiwis on board.

This is a nice colourful study of our humble sparrow.
Compositionally, a bit too centred, and the large background tends to overpower the dull plumage of the bird.

I have done a workshop for you which addresses those issues.

not many of us Kiwis left on TL, so welcome.

The focus on the wooden post below the sparrow looks pretty sharp but the sparrow itself could be better - you haven't listed what camera you have but with a setting of f/8 I would have expected the whole of the post to be in focus, anyway the background is nicely out of focus
