[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Zandra (ZTO) asked me to post a photo of my droplet set-up. There are much simpler set-ups on YouTube but this gives you consistent droplets. 1- Mariotte syphon. 2- Solenoid water valve (delivers droplets). 3- Infra Red beam (starts the process when droplet breaks the beam. 4- Speedlite on 1/32 power (to freeze the action). 5- Diffuser. 6- Food colouring. 7- Screw to set manual focus at drop point. 8- Remote shutter release. 9- StopShot controller. 10- Tripod. 11- Water containing some drops of washing up liquid or glycerin. Once you work out the delay from the droplet passing the IR beam and hitting the water, turn off the lights and shot. When starting off just suspend a plastic bag full of water with a pin hole to give you droplets then just snap away and hope you get lucky. That's how I started 10yrs ago and ended up with this

WOW! That is some alleborate set up you got there. Thank you for sharing. I think i will have to wait wit my water droplets for a bit...not sure where i would have room for teh set up. :D Keep posting and thanks again for sharing this.
