[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We were checking out the new Kopu brige, and found this subway under the east end of the bridge.
More of a grab shot really, Marilyn was walking ahead of me (I know my place) when I noticed the strong silhouette against the light.
To bring out more detail, I ran five exposures through HDR.
The result was so close to monochrome, I removed the colour to avoid any white balance problems.

Hi Peter.

The detail of the walls has been shown well, the sheen and the way the reflection of her is difused, and especially well with the choice of tones....as you say , they were almost grey to start with. Very good addition to the hunt, very well found, tfs

stv ;o))

When I saw this photo, I knew I was going to write a comment because I am very interested in this light and this is what I try to do in my photos of streets, I know it is not easy to capture a special moment, and when there is the right moment there is not the camera .... it happens to me often...
There is a beautiful rendering of light here with iso 200, I will remember it.
A story is told in this photo.
Excellent pov and moment well timed.
* Peter, I made a ws to show another darker version. Just to share my vision of things. Nothing more.

Very good. If not the hint of the fabric colors it looks like b/w :D
