Hi Tim,
It is great to see such a sunny photo on a grey day like we have today. Although the photo has a sunny feel to it, it also has a great moody feel to it. The stunning clouds add a lot of beauty to the photo.
You composition is perfect, with the shore line drawing the eye into the photo stopping at the snad pit and onward to the headland. The warm light on the headland adds a wonderful glow to it. The wave action is captured superbly at just the right moment. I am really impressed with the sharpness of the photo and the details from front to back. All in all is stunner of a photo and favorite for me.

Hello Tim, a beautifully sharp shot of this lovely part of the world.
Good composition and excellent colours.

What a place! I can see Great Barrier Island from our lounge, I had no idea it was that far away!

Beautiful undisturbed spot. Would love to see the horizon higher in the frame, comp would be stronger and we could be rid of that odd hole in the clouds at the top edge of the frame.

Cool shot. Did you fly with the not-so-reputable Great Barrier Air?

a beautiful shot of Great Barrier, the horizon is really sharp, obviously a really clear day. The clouds are quite dramatic and it would be a shame to crop them out to follow the rule of thirds

Oh Tim - awesome landscape. This is one place I haven't been to. My dad used to sail the ferry boats down there, but it was such a long day trip we never went with him...
You should have had excellent weather - haven't we been lucky with our summer up north here? Apart from the much needed rain.
Beautifully set out here, and the colours and details are so clear.. The low clouds give another exciting look to the scene too
