G'day Rew... Great photo. Simply put this follows a classic 1/3rds compo both horizontally and vertically.. I like Alex's suggestion too about doing this in B&W..

I like this a lot !
A great trio, a great graphic compo and some wonderful matching tones.
A monochrome would be timeless but I love the colors too much here so I vote for colored version

Well the composition is good as it should be while the subjects are alert waiting for your shutter click, the smiling faces and big boy's getting ready for shot is a little late as he was busy with his lip work,a good decisive shot, the gradients colors which is due to light and shades works very well here, for me only the FG wooden pillar is a little distracting.

This looks like a classic old photograph converted into an artistic presentation. The colors tends more to a monochromatic shot, actually a sepia toned presentation.
The minimal colors in this presentation are giving impact to the composition.
Very neat presentation!
My best regards,

Three different postures. Same uniform. The background, colour and everything comes together to form this wonderfully humane photo. TFS.

It's nice to see you post some shots again. Hehehe! (^-^)
This is a nice shot. The geometrical lines and figures of the woods are straight so they look nice. The 3 people sitting are kinda funny. Hahaha! It's nice to see some shots like this since I haven't seen these kind of sceneries here.
The light and colors are nice too.

C'est une magnifique photo très originale. Les sujets principaux étant cadrés vers la gauche est une très bonne idée. Il y a trois générations dans cette photo..
Merci du partage.

Very nicely captured Rew.
As Ralph pointed out (the Coffee cup), and the fluorescent light tells us it is not a photo from the 30's.
Still you have simulated the style and ambience of the era very well.

Lovely detail and timeless shot with a twist of modern touches! I love the blend of colours here and the image conveys your viewpoint perfectly- commendable distortion correction and well written notes. TFS and welcome back!

The train photo you posted today reminded me that I wanted to get back to you on this one. I sometimes look through the gallery without commenting, and return for comments later in the day, and often forget what it is I wanted to get back to. Old age???
Anyway, I agree that this is a timeless shot. The lighting and shade from the roof give this a nice, warm feeling. The look on the young fellow's face is funny, but the scene itself speaks of human nature. Two older guys sitting close together, with a good space between them and the younger one. That's the nature of things, he hasn't paid his dues just yet.
Dot recently posted a photo where she applied aging in her pp work, and I can't recall seeing anyone do it better. I would like to see how that effect would work on this, I think it would be an ideal candidate.

Boa tarde Rew
Interesting subject, well composed with all the elements in harmonious place, love the graphism of lines of wood. As you know , I love b/w , so I believe it will be an interesting b/w photo.

Hello Rew! I love this, I can clearly see it im a NGM article. I like the very square pov and the 'old style' color scheme that you caught very well. A fine job in ppwork for correcting the lens distortion. Well done.

without the shadow of doubt, one of your best and most interesting photos.
this shows that great photo opportunities can be cashed even with kit lenses, provided the camera is in 'able hands' :)
there is a lot to like... the expression on each person's face are amazing :) then there is this beauty in the straight lines, which i think offers a wonderful contrast to the photo :)
wonderful stuff, clean, well shot and very inspiring :)

nice touch of nostalgia, very good lighting and detail,a pity about one of the volunteers with the wrong hat,(it could be fixed we have the technology),even the activity in the b/g seems authentic,

:-) this is the kind of shot that you can really work with Rew! Make it look really old!
Of course, that is not what you were aiming for, but it certainly is the right place and the right setting.
Lovely colors, sharpness and even in the darkest parts there are details showing.
Very good!!! but then, I would not expect any different from you!!! :-)
