Balloon bursting

This was a yellow balloon filled with water which was burst by me throwing a dart at it, you can just see some blue of the dart.
This was a 2 sec exposure in a dark room. The flash was set a minimum power (1/128 power) which gives a flash duration of 1/23,000 of a second. That's not fast enough to freeze a bullet.
To get the flash to fire at the exact time the balloon burst you need to use a sound activated trigger (microphone) |
