Perito-Moreno Glacier is 30km (20 miles) long and a total surface of 257 km2 (160 square miles). The glacier is an amazing mass of ice, which seems to float on lake Argentino some 70 meters (230 feet) above the water surface. I took this shot to show the scale of the glacier, and I liked the contrast of the water / ice / dark hills.

Paul, Very good composition to show this large glacier. The facts you provide along with the POV and colours are great to see on TE. Murray.

Hi Paul
Nice and interesting photograph.
I just saw a documentary about that glacier but your photograph is impressive and well done.
A pity you didn't have the possibility to include a ship or something to show the relative size. At least your comments just do that.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh wow this is just stunning... enthralling, the cold tones in this image are just great, utterly beautiful. I adore that gentle fog that's floating above the glacier. Amazing capture, a truly awe inspiring scene... this point of view and angle is just right. TFS!

An amazing photograph here of this magnificent glacier. It is certainly massive, and your photo captures the majesty and wonder of the size. The shot is just spectacular!
