Despite the weather...

Home again. After traveling about two months to and through Africa and Brazil I'm back home in Haarlem (Holland).

Well the weather in Brazil was not always even good. On the first day of my visit at the Iguassu fall the weather was not that good, drizzle, some times rainy and a grey clouded sky. Not the circumstances for a perfect photo shoot. Any way, the view at the falls was awesome. So I would like to show you this image of the Iguassu fall taken from Brazilian soil, but showing the falls on the Argentinian side.

Did some PP work on the clouded sky to get more contrast. Further PP work: shot in Raw, adjusted exposure, brightness and contrast. Converted to jpeg, did quite some levels and curves adjustments, resized and used USM to sharpen.

Hi Hans,
A wonderful panorama of these waterfalls with that foggy ambient.
The grey sky is giving evidence to such bad weather!
Nice movement of the water falling in several layers.
Great management in light and accurate exposure.
Well done.
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Hans,
Hi Hans,
Stunning POV on this place. I visited Ignassu in 1974 january, this does me any younger:) so you point out me good memories. The weather was like on your photo and the water at the bottom of the cataract was brown. Many landslides had rendered some roads impassable.
Despite this weather you captured nicely the steam rising from the falls. I like this atmosphere. Excellente documentary photo! Bravo! Annie

Hello dear Hans!

very lovely shot in great details and DOF. Nice focus, vivid colors and great contrasts. Lovely and amazing scene of the falls and the wonderful clouds with moody look.

TFS, indeed a wonderful shot!

Best Regards,
Ali

Hi. I like the muted colours here, they add to the austerity of the falls. Mother nature at her most powerful, well captured. Phil.
