"Green" for the theme...

A huge wet leaf in the Brazilian rain forest at Fos do Iguassu.

Can it be greener?

PP work: Shot in Raw, converted to jpeg small adjustment of levels and curves. Resized, sharpened using USM, add frame.

N.B. Tried (like other TL members) to add this to the "Green theme" opened by Shelbeesmom, but unfortunately the upload wasn't succesful. Understood the IB tech. team is working on it.

Hi Hans
What a great capture for the friday theme.
Details of this wonderful leave is fantastic!
And the green is beautiful!

I almost find the pinkish element in the background (lower left) a disappointment when compared to the green hues that dominate the rest of the image; it feels like every single part of this shot should be a shade of green.
Regardless of that - the textures, shades, and details of this shot are all fantastic!

Hi Hans,
What a study on this leaf!
Lovely symmetry, excellent lighting and impeccable sharpness.
A proper entry to the theme!
I like the horizontal presentation with absolute clear details!
Very neat presentation, my friend.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Hans,

What a great shot of this leaf.
Splendid colors with great light.
Very good sharp details and a nice effect on the wet leaf, it look like it's made out of glass. It's as green as it could be. Nice POV. Congrats and TFS.

Best regards,

Hi Hans,
Very nice indeed. I am thinking... may be this should have been portrait orientation. The vibrant green is so pleasing to the sky.

No kidding! that IS green! and many different shades of shiny green! Perfect for the theme! I'm glad the theme got straightened out...not sure why my theme could not have been fixed! Nice posting Hansie! Thanks for joining in!

Hi Hansie
Love the big wet leaf. Good to see all the textures and shapes of its wrinkly edges.
I would have shot it more on an angle so the centre of the leaf is on an angle from top left corner to the lower right one. (IMHO)
We need rain down here. No decent rain=fall since last year.

The 'wet' definitely provides an interesting touch to the green tones and hues.
Smart crop and a pity the pink areas...
Nice and very interesting image however :)

Mooi groen is niet lelijk zeg ik altijd maar...
Prachtige tekening in dit blad en mooi glimmend nat...
Ben het wel met Rew eens... het roze hoort er niet in.

een mooie Hans!
