[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Every year for 3 years now, The "Nuit Blanche" (White Nights) celebrate contemporary creativity in all its forms (more information at www.paris.fr. There's performances, installation, exhibit of all sorts all over the city in hundreds places to visit.
Unfortunatly, I wasn't well prepared, I was also slow down by friends that were with me, I've missed a lot of thing eventhough I was up all night (until 8am) strolling through the city trying to see as much as I can.

This picture was taken at "La Bourse" in front of the "Palais Grognard" which was the french equivalent of New York's Wall Street.

A DJ's and VJ's set was organised there. Among them was Dj Jeff Mills who was mixing on movies from Buster Keaton and others. On the photo, one can recognised pictures taken from Fritz Lang's movie "Metropolis".

This photo is a composite made from 6 photos of the same place (check the workshop).

My camera can record the sounds around me when I'm taking a picture. If you wish to listen a 15 sec excerpt of the music that was playing click here (wav sound file).

I really like what you've done here Romain. Very creative. I have to agree with the foreground being a bit too bright. I would love to have gone to that event. And the music is exactly the same as I listen to!

J'aurais bien aimé pouvoir t'accompagner.

Bravo.
