Left in the middle of the field during half-time....... That's it, not much else to write with this photo....maybe it's good to add that it's a hockey stick.

Simplicity at its best, Niek! Well seen and well captured. Great job!

Like Pierre wrote : simple. But it always works. Nicely composed

Simple but it works because it is nicely composed with the hockey stick in the right place and a good use of the empty space at the bottom. Nice one tone picture with only the smal splash of colours from the stick. Well seen & well done!

We have a minimalistic mood today. Looks like a broken stick; these things are too expensive to forget.
I like the naughty red in your frame related to the stick.

Hallo Niek. Echt schitterend. Hij heeft iets weg van en lucifer.
Maar ik geniet er van.
Groots, Frans

i'm glad you've decided to desaturate the pitch and leave the hockey stick as the main focal point with it's bright orange!

i've broken a lot of hockey sticks in the past, in fact i broke one this week (although it was a guy who we play with, who broke it by stepping on it and dragging his foot, in order to drag it from my grip; but that's irrelavent), so just a point of interest, are these easy to break with such a short blade?

Hello Niek,

The thumbnail looked uninteresting, but I am very glad I opened this. Your work here is very good, excellent in fact, minimalism at its best and the old saying "less is more" applies here. Your decision to desaturate and use selective colouring on the hocky stick has added real impact to this. Your composition is perfect, I also like the diagonal flow of the grass cut. This is a favourite. Have a great w/e.

simple yet interesting. ISO style of photography. good work.

a very plane and simple image. very sharp ... like it!

Hi Niek,
Very good capture. Nicely detailed and sharp.
Good stick colour, desaturated grass and framing.
Thanks for posting, Have a great week.

Simple but effective. The colors add some impact and constrast to it.

Very simple but excellent image. The fact that you have removed the colour from the grass makes the orange of the stick really stand out, and make a statement. What a perfectly manicured field of grass, it looks like the greens on a golf course. Usually playing fields for hockey and soccer are turned up and muddy. Nice and neat here.
Well done
Cheers Joan
