this was a scene on pagoda street from yesterday's post

this was during the eve of Lunar New Year earlier this year
i shot this with my Canon FTBql :) with kodak T-Max 400 film
the lens was on loan to me, a 100mm f1.8 S.S.C.

the best part of the photo for me was how everyone in the frame seems to be focus on the food :P

Excellent b&w. Moody... You captured very well the scene.

heheee, love the old film photo!!
I wonder, what BW film would you recomand me?

i am temped by that.
soon I'll post a photo of my Exa 1b for you:)

This one is so well composed and captured. I LOVE the grain, but technically, i can'd fugure out from what it comes, is it the low light or the film, thanks in advance.

There's a real atmosphere to this image - i half expect the figures to start moving and talking - and to smell the food!

I notice the two guys are both wearing Nike tops and the other an 'American Original' shirt.

Damned U.S. culture! ;-)

Wow! excellent compo! love it in B/W really enhances the drama in it.

When I first saw this I thought that it is scene from the 60's movies. B&W choice creates this sense. Nice daily life capture. TFS.

Wonderful natural photo and good sharpnes of the details,
Thanks that you so interesting picture communicate us. Congratulate

Great B&W shot! The scene capture is excellent; I can almost see the people moving. The steam coming out of the pot adds a nice effect. Excellent!

A very well composed photo. Good light and focus. Nicely recorded in B&W. Nicely done. You focus on the food because of the line of the woman's arms.

Very nicely captured, BK. I like the focus on the people so focused on the food and the steam from the pot is quite a nice addition. My only nit-picky comment is about the square thing on the upper left corner...I just wish it wasn't there but I am being ultra-picky. Nice B&W. Well done!

Great daily life photo
Great BW work
very well done

nice black and white photo, Its nice the way you captured them all lining up for food!
Like the contrasting tones and your POV.
Donna :o)

Another wonderful B&W photo from you. You seem to master it. It seems so candid, somewhat voyeuristic. It's kind of vintage also. Very unique style from you. You have a voice and I like it a lot.

Very nice B&W
a great market scene
Well done
Im hungy...

Lots of atmosphere in this excellent street capture full of action and life.

Hi BK, this photo has an old feel, maybe it is the use of a film camera and the b/w enhances it.

Well composed on these people so attentive on the food.

very well done! Cheers, Yan :)
ps: many ths for the crit on "Kayaking on the Gatineau River at Sunset". It's really appreciated.
